VSProse is a small company: one founder, and a team that works with heavy AI assistance. We are telling you this on the first page of the relationship because we sell software to writers who are rightly suspicious of AI, and you deserve to know exactly where AI sits inside a company asking for your trust.

One rule, everywhere

The product's promise is "the AI suggests, you decide." The company runs on the same rule. AI helps us draft copy, plan work, and do research. A human reads every outbound word, edits what needs editing, and gives the yes or the no. Nothing is auto-posted. Nothing goes out on a schedule nobody is watching. When we show up in a writing community, a human is at the keyboard.

That covers this page, too. It was drafted with AI assistance and approved by a human, like everything else we publish. We would rather show you the rule working than ask you to take it on faith.

The same rule inside the product

VSProse never rewrites your chapter files. Every suggested edit appears as a diff you accept, reject, or rewrite yourself, and your chapters stay on your disk. The editing itself runs through our AI service; your files stay where you put them.

Why we are telling you before you asked

Plenty of companies work exactly this way and say nothing. In writing communities, we have watched what happens when the saying-nothing runs out. So the policy is public before anyone asks, and it stays public. If our practice changes, this page changes with it, dated.

Where we draw the line

The line between AI as a tool and AI replacing the writer is a fine one, and it moves. We wrote down where we stand and why: the Anti-Slop Manifesto. That page is the why; this one is the how. We expect to keep adjusting both, in the open.
